Beauty On The Inside
We rented a Kawaii Grand Piano and recorded it with Guitar Picks/Plectrums and with a tiny metallic mini-hammer. We meticulously sampled the instrument, capturing the unique sounds of plucked and hammer-struck grand piano strings. We recorded a world-class piano with oversized nylon picks and custom miniature hammers, creating a hybrid instrument that blends the characteristics of a harp, clavinet, guitar, lute, and harpsichord, with an added hammered dulcimer articulation.
