What's New in 3.2.1?

It's What's Inside That Counts!

The Soundpaint 3.2.1 update (issued December 3rd, 2024) is a follow-up to our latest 3.2.0 update (issued November 22nd, 2024) a major, free update to the fastest sampling engine available today. While this update make not look like a lot has changed, under the hood has been completely rebuilt from the ground up. These new features help you create music faster, discover new sonic ideas, and open the future of Soundpaint to even more endless possibilities!

**NOTE: This is a beta release. While it has passed internal testing, some minor bugs may still appear on certain systems. We do believe it is ready for public scrutiny, though we wanna emphasize it is a BETA.

What’s New in Soundpaint 3.2 Beta:

• PCM Sampling & .WAV Support: Soundpaint now supports PCM and future .FLAC files, making libraries up to ten times smaller for faster downloads and easier content management, without compromising quality.

• High-Resolution PCM Time-Stretcher: Our new time-stretcher, designed specifically for PCM libraries, allows high voice counts without overloading the CPU, especially on Apple M Chipset models.

• Integrated Soundpaint Downloader: The Soundpaint Downloader is now built into Soundpaint, replacing the standalone version. We’ve enhanced connectivity with our website for smoother access and updates.

• Enhanced Control Visibility: Empty part slots now display automation, and ADSR sustain automation issues have been fixed.

• ARP Bug Fixes: Resolved an issue where the ARP would load as active in “trig” mode.

Known Issues:

• Browser Performance: The Soundpaint Browser may experience slower scanning on systems with over 50 libraries, especially on older PCs. Optimizations are underway.

• Studio One Performance: PC users may notice slight slowdowns when using Studio One.

• Rack > Offset in older libraries is affected; a fix is underway and will be included in the upcoming 3.2.2 update, arriving soon.

We’d love to hear your feedback on PCM integration and any other insights you have while exploring Soundpaint 3.2 Beta!
