Soundpaint™ One Sound ReSound™ Chapter 2

One Sound Returns:

Soundpaint’s One Sound Competition returns for its second round, with a twist and even BIGGER prizes! Our first-ever winners, Giovanni Puocci and Isaac Howlett, have each created a brand-new One Sound Part for contestants to use. Giovanni’s Part transforms the sound of a coffee machine into musical magic, while Isaac’s Part takes inspiration from a piano pedal squeak.

Contestants must choose one of these Parts to build their entire track. No extras, just one sound, one masterpiece. Using only Soundpaint, participants will craft a 60-second composition showcasing their creativity and sound design skills.

You’ll have through the holiday season to create your track, and this time, we’ll have six winners: three winners will be chosen by our judges (Troels Folmann and a ✨mystery guest judge✨) and three winners will be chosen by our community. If a contestant is picked by both the judges and the community vote, they’ll take home both prizes!

Here Are The Steps:

1) Download Soundpaint here and the Coffee Machine or Piano Pedal Squeak, all free, of course. Make sure to unpack the downloaded Part before continuing.

2) Load the Part into Soundpaint by clicking the hamburger menu in the top left > Manage Library & Part Directories > select the location of the folder you downloaded > Full rescan > click the person (user) icon and Part.

3) Make something cool! Your submission must be no longer than 60 seconds and only use the contest sample.

4) Post a video of your recipe to TikTok and/or Instagram, follow and tag us, and use #SoundpaintOneSound #MadeWithSoundpaint #SoundpaintCreators #SoundpaintOriginal when you post AND fill out the Submission Form with your entry information.

Judging and prizes:

Troels Folmann, BAFTA winner and founder of Soundpaint and 8Dio, and a Mystery guest judge will be judging the submissions for this One Sound contest. They will listen to and give feedback to the top candidates over livestream to announce the top three placed winners. We’re also letting our Creator Community choose their top three favorites as well via vote, which we will announce closer to the competition deadline, so you all can choose who you want to be the Community Winners.
